The Issue

Why LeakLite was made:

What's Wrong?

Combustible cooking gases such as LPG and PNG are used daily in millions of Indian households, yet gas leak risks often go unnoticed until they become dangerous. Poor ventilation, lack of awareness, and absence of early detection systems increase the chances of fires and explosions. Many families underestimate minor leaks, even though early response is critical to preventing serious accidents and injuries.

Recent Incident

This danger was highlighted on 22 December in Mumbai, where an unnoticed LPG leak in a residential room ignited when a light switch was turned on, causing a fire that injured multiple residents, including elderly individuals. The gas had accumulated overnight, demonstrating how quickly everyday household situations can turn into emergencies when early detection and proper awareness are lacking.
